Today was a significant day—I left my job of 16 years for the last time. But before starting my new job in March, I unfortunately have to go on holiday. Due to accumulated overtime, a break was necessary.

As mentioned before, Malta is the destination—but not just yet. Thanks to Molde’s less-than-ideal flight connections, I need to make a stopover in Oslo.

The Journey Begins

My flight departs at 19:10, requiring a bus ride to the airport. To make things even more “convenient,” they recently removed the bus stop at the terminal, so now passengers must walk several hundred meters. Great planning.

Check-in is a breeze—hardly anyone here. It’s holiday season in Norway, so many travelers may already be gone. No issues at security either, leaving me with time to wait.

My ride for the evening

The plane is slightly delayed, but no big deal. Since I have to stay overnight in Oslo and be at the airport by 4:30 AM, I booked the Radisson Blu at the terminal—just across from the entrance. That proximity costs an extra 80 €, but saving time and getting more sleep? Worth it.

A Short Stay in Oslo

After a smooth 45-minute flight, I arrive in Oslo. My luggage comes out quickly, and I grab a pizza for dinner—though by the time I reach my room, it’s already cold. Classic.

The hotel room is nice, but at 1,700 NOK per night, I barely have time to enjoy it. The alarm is set for an early wake-up. Tomorrow, the real journey begins.
