May 17th and a big Hipp Hipp Hurra to all the Norwegians out there. Even the city buses in Torshavn drive around with small Norwegian flags on top. But I have to get my stuff and get down to breakfast. At the check out the lady who met me on day one wants to have money… which I already had paid of course. She just forgot to write it down. Good to have the receipt. 🙂

The car has to be filled, but first I have to check for two more geocaches close to the airport. What a beautiful place I found. The end of the road (nearly) and very close to the airport. Bøur. Unfortunately I don’t have enough time to get Gásadalur. The weather is clear today. Just a little bit windy.

Delivering the car at the airport in the same way I got it. Find a parking space close to where I got it (all parking is free on the Faeroe Islands) and then into the terminal. A little bit to early, the check in for luggage and security control are not open yet. I decide to send my hand luggage as check in and just use my small Eagle Creek backpack. After security control some Duty Free shopping – not much and then it is time to board the plane to Copenhagen.

The flight is smooth and there are no problems at the airport. Just remember to pack the thing to change the SIM card on your phone. Had to ask for a paper clip. The Faroese SIM does not work here and I want my internet back. 🙂 Boarding the flight to Oslo and 1 hour later my feet are back on home territory. Dinner with Pizza at the airport. Not many choices. I love the new airport. And the system that lets you change to a domestic flight without checking inn again. So much better.

The ride to Molde is a little bit more bumpy. Turbulence on the final approach.  Only 17 people on the flight. Never seen a Boeing 737-800 with less people on it. Perfect service with hot coffee here. Had to take a taxi home. As the Norwegians say: “Borte bra, hjemme best” (Away good, home best – freely translated).

Next trip is coming soon. Two week until I take my trip to Copenhagen, this time mainly by ferry.
